Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical practice that involves the strategic placement of very fine, thin needles into specific points on the body. Rooted in the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is based on the belief that the human body contains a network of energy pathways, or "meridians," that must remain balanced and unobstructed for optimal health and wellbeing.
